President Droupadi Murmu arrived at MBB Airport, Agartala on a 2 day visit to Tripura. Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya in the presence of Chief Minister Dr.Manik Saha, Union MoS Pratima Bhoumik along with other dignitaries welcomed her at the Airport. President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the MLA Hostel and lay the foundation stone of 7 projects in the Capital Complex of Agartala virtually at Hall 1 of Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan at 3:30 pm today.
She will also lay the foundation stone of Manpai-Damchhra road, Jatanbari Mandirghat road through Tirthmukh, Maharaja Birendra Krishna Manikya Museum and Cultural Center at Pushpavanta Palace, Durbar Hall and associated buildings, a multi-storied building at Gurkhabasti, 6 high rise buildings at various places in Tripura, 9 Boys / Girls Hostels with 100 seats and Indian Institute of Information Technology Agartala. Moreover, Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya, Chief Minister Professor (Dr) Manik Saha and Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma will be present on the occasion. In the evening, the President will attend a civic reception to be hosted in her honour by the Government of Tripura at the Town Hall, Agartala
On October 13, 2022, the President will flag off, from Agartala Railway Station, the special extension of Guwahati-Kolkata-Guwahati train upto Agartala and extension of Agartala-Jiribam-Agartala Jan Shatabdi Express upto Khongsang, Manipur.
