Top bollywood actor Arjun Rampal visited Mechuka in Shi Yomi district of Arunachal Pradesh along the Indo-China border to attend the traditional 3-day Sonam Losar Festival which concluded on Tuesday (Feb 7).
Rampal who was accompanied by his partner Gabriella Demetriedes while talking to the media said that he was mesmerised by witnessing the natural and magnificent scenic beauty of Mechuka which has become a most sought-after destination in Arunachal Pradesh for national and international tourists.
Interacting with the media, Rampal while saying that he will be having five film releases this year also mentioned that there should be a green film city in Arunachal Pradesh.
Sonam Losar is the festival celebrated by the Memba community of Arunachal Pradesh to mark the advent of the new year. Arunachal Pradesh home minister Bamang Felix and Arunachal assembly speaker and the local MLA Pasang Dorjee Sona were also present as special and distinguished guests on the occasion. Rituals were performed by the monks and lamas and traditional dances performance were displayed by various cultural troupes.
