BSF personnel under South Bengal Frontier, in a joint operation with police apprehended 08 Bangladesh nationals from Indo-Bangladesh Border.
On 09 February 2023, at about 2000 hrs, BSF jawans of Border Outpost Farzipara, 141 Battalion, Sector Berhampur apprehended 08 Bangladesh Nationals, while they failed to prove their identity during check.
On preliminary questioning, it was found that all these citizens are Bangladeshi and entered India illegally for livelihood.
Apprehended Bangladeshi nationals have been handed over to Police Station Jalangi for further legal action.
The Commanding Officer of 141 Battalion expressed happiness over the success and stated that our jawans are committed to stop all sorts of trans-border crimes.
