On March 06, 2023, jawans of Border Out Post Nangal Bhanga, 159 Battalion, under South Bengal Frontier organized a civic action program at the football ground of the high school in village Sundarpur. The aim of the program was to provide assistance to the needy villagers residing near the border areas.
During the program, approximately 120 villagers of nearby bordering villages were benefitted. The program provided essential items such as biometric toilets, blankets, and sports items worth Rs 85,025/- to the villagers in need. The jawans also organized a football match among the youth of the village, which was highly appreciated by the locals.
The event was organized to provide assistance to the villagers in the border areas who face various challenges in their day-to-day lives. The people of the area highly appreciated the camp organized by BSF and urged them to organize more such events in the future.
The spokesman of South Bengal Frontier stated that BSF protects the country by standing on the border regardless of sun, storm, and rain. BSF organizes such events from time to time for the welfare of border people. The civic action program was organized to bring happiness and comfort to the lives of the villagers who face numerous challenges in their day-to-day lives.
