The troops of Border Out Post B R C Pur, 86 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier, organized a camp on the India-Bangladesh border on March 10, 2023, to distribute essential items to the villagers under the Civic Action Program. The camp was organized for the welfare of the needy people living on the border, As part of the program, the BSF distributed solar lights and gym equipment to the villagers, benefiting about 300 people from nearby villages. The solar lights will help provide light to villagers in areas where electricity is scarce or nonexistent, while the gym equipment will help promote physical fitness and well-being.
Volleyball match also organized
The Civic Action Program also included a volleyball match between Youth Club Peepulberia and Youth Club Phulbari. The exciting match was won by Youth Club Peepulberia, who received applause and cheers from the audience.
The people of the area highly appreciated the efforts of the Border Security Force in organizing this camp and urged them to organize more such camps in the future.
The spokesman of South Bengal Frontier praised the jawans for organizing this camp and stated that such programs create a good image of the force and develop a sense of security among the citizens. He also stated that such programs will be organized in the future in the border areas.
