The “Bomdila Mini Marathon-2023,” organized under the theme “Say No to Drugs and Say Yes to Sports” by the Student’s Association of Government Degree College, Bomdila, witnessed the participation of more than 100 athletes.
Athletes from different parts of the State and the neighbouring state of Assam took part in the event. Shri Kaling Tayeng, IAS, Principal Secretary of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, was the most senior athlete to participate. The marathon was inaugurated by DC Bomdila, Akriti Sagar (IAS).
The District Administration Bomdila provided logistical support for the event. While expressing appreciation for the organizing team, Sagar assured that the marathon would become a yearly event for the district.
The top three winners received cash prizes of 20,000, 15,000, and 10,000 respectively. Additionally, the top ten winners were each awarded a cash prize of 1,000 (DIPRO)
