Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) conducted a medical camp in collaboration with District Health Society, Churachandpur, District Legal Services Authority, Churachandpur, NGO’s Bethesda Society and NEST at Vill Bungmual on 02 September 2023.
The medical Camp was organised by The Assam Rifles as a part of its unstinted efforts to bring peace and normalcy in Manipur state. The endeavour has been to reach out to the local populace with limited access to optimum healthcare facilities during the ongoing crisis. The medical staff of Unit Hospital, Assam Rifles Churachandpur and a team of 05 multi-speciality doctors and 05 nurses from District Health Society, Churachandpur , a Medical team from ‘Doctor for you’ and NEST (NGO) examined a total of 384 locals in and around village Bungmual including senior citizens , pregnant women and children.
The beneficiaries received complimentary multi-speciality consultation, medicines , laboratory services, and awareness on prevention and control of seasonal illnesses, and importance of maintaining personal hygiene and sanitation.
