Acting on specific intelligence, Assam Rifles and Special Operations Group (SOG) Thoubal of Manipur Police launched a joint search operation on 11 Sep 23 in the Shikhong Thongkhong area of Thoubal district, Manipur.
The joint operation resulted in the reovery of one SLR Rifle, one grenade and one Tube Launcher Grenade (SLR) which have been handed over to the Police.
A similar a joint operation was launched by Assam Rifles and Manipur Police from Lamlai Police Station, Imphal East District, in Kharasom Village, in general area Chingkheiching Range, Imphal East District on 11 Sept 2023. Upon reaching the designated location, team initiated an extensive search and recovered of one Carbine, and two grenades. The seized items were handed over to Lamlai Police Station.
