On September 15, 2023, the 43rd Battalion of BSF Meghalaya, as part of its efforts to ensure the well-being of the bordering population, organized a free medical camp under the Civic Action Programme at Border out Post Chirangri in South Garo Hills.
During the camp, doctors of BSF and Civil conducted health checkups of the border population and distributed free medicines among the needy villagers.
In addition to the Medical camp, Sh Tarni Kumar Tiu, DIG, BSF Sector Headquarters Shillong along with Sh Ratikant Thakur, Commanding Officer of the 43 Bn BSF, distributed various essential items such as solar light sets, umbrella, plastic chairs & tables, sports equipment etc. to the students and needy villagers of bordering villages Rongra, Chirangri, Seemakona and Dambukaphal.
The program was attended by a large number of people from the local community who appreciated the noble efforts made by the Border Security Force.
