The Army and Assam Rifles seize illegal liquor of estimated cost Rs 80,000/- in Bethel, Churachandpur, on 18th September 2023.
During a routine vehicle check, the Indian Army team intercepted a Mahindra Bolero with the license plate MN 04 A 5125, driven by Tonggin Haokip, son of Sonam Haokip, a resident of Jangnom village, District Churachandpur (Manipur), and a Ford Figo with the license plate AS 11 N 9744, driven by Mr. Ngamminlen Baithe, a resident of B Salvaphai village, District Ccpur (Manipur). They were found transporting illegal liquor of Myanmar origin. The seized items include 46 bottles of Whisky Imperial Blue (700 ml each), 461 bottles of Star Honey Lemon Mix Liquor (Alcohol 20%, 640 ml each), 47 bottles of Honey Lemon Premium Quality liquor (30% Alcohol, 640 ml each), and 24 bottles of Super Honey Lemon Premium Quality (30% Alcohol, 640 ml each). The total value of the seized liquor is approximately ₹80,000/-
These items, apprehendees & the vehicles were handed over to the Ccpur Police Station for further action.
