At least 4 Passengers died and 60 injured North East Express derails in Bihar

At least Four persons were killed and over 60 injured when six coaches of the Assam-bound North East Superfast Express derailed in Buxar district of Bihar late on Wednesday night.

Sources from the North-East Frontier Railway (NFR) Informed that the Train was En-Route to Assam.

The North East Express, coming from Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi, was on its way to Kamakhya Junction

Relief trains have reached site. Passengers have been taken out from the coaches. All kind of help is being provided. Scratch rake Ex- Patna is reaching site :  NFR

PM condoles loss of lives due to derailment of few coaches of North East Express

The Prime Minister’s Office posted on X:

“Pained by the loss of lives due to the derailment of a few coaches of the North East Express. Condolences to the bereaved families. I pray for a quick recovery of the injured. Authorities are providing all possible assistance to all those affected: PM”

The Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed, “Chief Minister’s Office is closely monitoring the unfortunate derailment of Train Number 12506 in Raghunathpur and is in touch with the District authorities in Buxar & other agencies. “.
