Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR(S), extended assistance in terms of administrative support and refreshments during the vibrant inauguration ceremony of three days Sports Meet at Chandel on 18th October .
The opening ceremony of the mega event was attended by over 750 participants including students, student union presidents from nine Naga tribes and village chiefs. Commandant Assam Rifles, hoisted the school flag and lit the ‘Sports Meet Flame’.
The event began with Scripture Reading, an opening prayer, and a welcome song by students, which was followed by a spirited March Past by the students. Cultural activities, including group dances and an energetic aerobic display, added a memorable touch to the day.
The Commandant while addressing the participants stressed the role of sports in nurturing discipline and camaraderie in the society. The three-day sports meet will include various events fostering unity and competition.
