Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) conducted a ‘Wreath Laying Ceremony’ at Kangvai, to pay homage to it’s Bravehearts Subedar Bir Lal Rai and 18 Other Ranks, who laid down their lives on 23rd October 1962 while saving the Asaphila Post which was attacked by an overwhelming strength of Chinese troops.
The indomitable spirit and undaunted valour displayed by the brave hearts who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation is a source of inspiration and motivation for all.
