Workshop on Application of Smart PLS and SPSS in Environmental Research”(Statistical Package for the Social Science and Partial Equation Model) Organized By Voice of Environment

Voice of Environment (VoE), a scientific and environmental research organization, held a workshop on “Application of Smart PLS and SPSS in Environmental Research” (Statistical Package for the Social Science and Partial Equation Model).

The program was an online workshop. The program was a component of VoE’s ongoing initiative to raise mass awareness among the community, youth, and students about environmental issues.

Dr Anu Sharma (Riparian Ecology and Himalayan Studies Division, VoE) opened the workshop by making a statement and moderated along with Er Mcdonald Choudhury by introducing the panelists, speakers, participants, and other VoE members. Dr Rahul Chauhan, an Assistant Professor at the Parul Institute of Business Administration at Parul University in Vadodara, Gujarat, India, joined the session and took charge. In this session, the speaker highlighted the application of Smart PLS and SPSS software. He has also elaborated on the significance of the software in the research field, along with its technicality and reach. A live demonstration was also performed by running the software during the workshop.

Following the program, participants from various states and streams shared their thoughts. Among the participants countrywide was Rashmi Soni, a Professor from Somaiya Vidhyavihar Univesity Mumbai, who found the session helpful. Anubha Mishra, Assistant professor from Dr. C.V. Raman University, Madhya Pradesh, saw it as an excellent session that was encouraging, motivating, and essential for the researcher. Alka, Poonam Kumari, and Kumari Ruchika, Research Scholars from the Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, appreciated the workshop and found it beneficial.

Dr Subhadip Pal, Assistant Professor, The Neotia University, Kolkata, found the session crucial. Madhusmita Khatua, Office Assistant from Mitra S.K. Pvt. Ltd., gained many new insights regarding the software. Kavita Singh, Assistant Professor, Mata Sundri College for Women, University of Delhi, found the session engaging. Mamta Sanjay Bodhale, Sr. Scientist for Socio-Economic Area from Aditya Environmental Services Pvt Ltd., found the session suitable for using the software in representation in EIA preparation. Pallabi Roy Chowdhury, a teacher from Kalyani University, acknowledged the session as highly important for researchers. Kamna Singh, a Research Scholar from Gautam Buddha University, Uttar Pradesh, found the workshop informative. Tanisha Mir, a student of B.Sc. in Environmental Science from Asutosh College, Calcutta University, learned many new things from the session. Environmentalist Moharana Choudhury was also present in the workshop and shared his experiences with environmental research and its importance in the scientific world.
