Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) provided emergency medical assistance to road accident victims at Santing village, Churachandpur district on 24th November 2023.
A group of 15 passengers while travelling from Saichang village to Churachandpur district in a Bolero pickup, enroute met with a road accident wherein the vehicle toppled from the road nearby Santing village around 5 pm. Out of the 15 passengers, eight passengers including three women were severely injured. The patients were provided first aid & two patients with suspected fractures in upper limb were referred to District Hospital, Churachandpur for further medical treatment.
Patients were triaged based on severity and timely assistance was provided by the Assam Rifles Medical Officer and Medical team at Assam Rifles Unit Hospital at Aina Village.
