Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) assisted villagers of Awangkasom, Ukhrul district in conduct of Football tournament by assisting them in preparation of ground, provision of First Aid facility 9and administrative assistance for the tournament.
The aid was provided on the request of the Village Authorities and Youth President.
The people of Awangkasom village extended their gratitude for the aid extended by Assam Rifles and have urged to continue taking initiatives for the benefit of the society.
On the same day, Assam Rifles conducted a Friendly Volleyball Match with the youth of village Singhat at Singhat of Churachandpur district on 16 Dec 2023. The match was organised to motivate the youth in field of sports and to promote sports culture in border villages of Manipur. The event started with an interaction with village youth followed by a friendly volleyball match and refreshments. During the interaction, 16 young sportsmen were briefed about the sports culture in India and the opportunities available in today’s environment in various sports genre.
