ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISED A PICNIC FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN AND ORGANISES BLOOD DONATION FOR A CHILD

 

Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR South organised a picnic on 16th December for students of ARPS, Keithelmanbi within the Garrison. The children included wards of serving personnel as well as locals.

The event comprised of variety of activities including trekking and games followed by distribution of refreshments. This gesture of Assam Rifles helped in boosting morale of young minds who were stuck in their houses during the crisis in the state. Approx 250 students and teachers participated in the event with enthusiasm.

In a remarkable display of selflessness and service to humanity, the Assam Rifles took up the noble cause of blood donation, extending their commitment to protect and serve the citizenry. Six units of Blood were donated to Italia Kamei, aged 5 years suffering from Leukaemia, daughter of Mr Jianngamlung Kamai of Tokpa Kabui Village, Loktak Project, Manipur at JNIMS hospital by troops of Assam Rifle.

The Child is suffering from Leukaemia and urgently required six units of Blood for Dialysis. The personnel of Assam Rifles have selflessly come forward to donate the gift of life. The significance of this initiative is profound, as it not only contributes to the well-being of military personnel but also strengthens the bond between the armed forces and the communities they serve.
