On January 10, 2024, Assam Rifles was conducted a wreath-laying ceremony at Moreh, Tengnoupal District honour the memory of Rifleman Hansabir Limbu,who made the ultimate sacrifice on January 10, 1956. Rifleman Limbu laid down his life during a courageous operation against Naga insurgents in Longkhim, Tuensang District of Nagaland.
A contingent comprising four officers, 12 Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), and 63 Other Ranks (OR) paid heartfelt homage to the braveheart, remembering his selfless dedication and sacrifice in the line of duty. The ceremony served as a poignant reminder of the unwavering commitment of our armed forces to uphold the security and integrity of the nation.
