Good news for all Metro commuters!
Metro services from Howrah Maidan to Esplanade stretch of East-West Metro is going to start very soon. Prior to that historic moment another milestone has been achieved. All commuters who will be travelling on this route will be able to talk with their relatives, colleagues and near and dear ones from inside the Metro.
To ensure uninterrupted connectivity for Metro commuters below the river Hooghly, necessary infrastructure will be setup. Telecom giant Bharti Airtel has planned to install high capacity nodes 35 metres below the surface at each station on this 4.8 Km stretch from Howrah Maidan to Esplanade through fibre. As a result, Metro commuters will be able to enjoy 5G speeds, uninterrupted voice calls and data transmission which in turn enhance their commuting experience.It will also allow them to stay connected and remain productive even during commuting in Metro.
