Acting on credible intelligence regarding presence of arms and ammunition in general area in Phouobi in Thoubal district of Manipur, a joint team of Assam Rifles and Special Operations Group (SOG) Thoubal launched a joint search operation on 06 March 24 and recovered one INSAS Rifle, one country Made 2 inch improvised (Pompi) Mortar , two grenades , one Grenade Launching Tube and other war like stores.
