Assam Rifles organised a Medical Camp along with distribution of stationery to underprivileged children in Old Khundong village on 09 March 2024. A total of 300 people underwent general health checkup and medical examination by the Doctor and Medical Staff of Assam Rifles. Medicines and basic women hygiene items were also distributed and administered as per requirement of the patients. Furthermore, stationery items to include notebooks and writing material were also distributed to more than 100 underprivileged children in the village.
The Medical Camp was a successful initiative which addressed general health issues of the villagers. It largely benefitted the people and provided medical care to the residents of Old Khundong, Thingra, Tabam and Aling villages amongst others.
The villagers thanked Assam Rifles for organising the event which made basic medical facilities available to them despite the remoteness of their villages. The students were ecstatic to receive the stationery items that would further aid in their academic ventures.
