The airport came to a standstill for a moment. CISF jawan attempt to commit suicide by firing his own rifle.
At around 5:30 am on Thursday morning, suddenly the sound of gunfire was heard from the tower of gate 5 of the airport, starting from the CISF personnel on duty, everyone was alerted. Several CISF personnel rushed to the top of the tower. At that time, the working CISF staff fell. The CISF jawan Sriv Vishnu from Telengana tried to commit suicide by shooting himself with his SLR rifle. He was later taken to a private hospital at Chinar Park area in Rajarhat. Senior officials of CISF and airport police reached the spot. The police are investigating the reason of the incident. According to police sources, the jawan is working in CISF since 2022.
