As part of the continuous efforts by Assam Rifles to uplift the local community, phase 2 of Pre Recruitment Training capsule was organised for the Local Youths of Ukhrul and Kamjong Districts at Shangshak village in Ukhrul district of Manipur.
In phase I, 60 aspirants from Ukhrul and Kamjong Districts of Manipur had attended the Pre Recruitment Training. In the phase II of the Training, another 17 youth are being trained by Assam Rifles for a period of four weeks.
The youths were briefed regarding the conduct of the Pre Recruitment Training capsule, provided accommodation and other necessities which would be required during the conduct of the Pre Recruitment Training capsule.
The local populace especially the youth of the region thanked Assam Rifles for orgainsing such relevant and meaningful activities for their welfare. They promised to extend their wholehearted cooperation and support to the Security Forces and pledged to strive hard for enrollment into the Security Forces.
ASSAM RIFLES PAYS TRIBUTE TO BRAVEHEART ON 22 June 2024
Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) conducted Wreath Laying Ceremony for Rifleman (General Duty) Sakil Ahmed of this unit who gave the supreme sacrifice on 22 June 1994 during the fire fight with undergrounds (UGs) at Mokokchung (Nagaland) & sustained Gun Shot Wounds and succumbed to injuries, thereby making the supreme sacrifice for the Nation.
A strength of 05 Officers, 20 JCOs and 101 OR were present for the Wreath Laying Ceremony. The Battalion and Assam Rifles salute the supreme sacrifice of Rifleman (General Duty) Sakil Ahmed, paid respects by laying the wreath & Guard of Honour.
