While reviewing the strategy in Sundarbans area located on Indo Bangladesh border in West Bengal, Additional Director General (ADG) Eastern Command BSF, Shri Ravi Gandhi made an important visit to the strategically important Sundarbans area, which is the most important and perilious area on the Indo-Bangladesh border.
Accompanied by DIG of Sector Headquarters Kolkata and officers of 118 Battalion, Shri Gandhi Additional DG carefully reviewed all the important strategic locations from T-junction in Sundarbans to the last floating border outpost Krishna and further to Forest Outpost Buridabari present in Sundarban area and took stock of operational readiness and security measures.
During this important visit, a comprehensive briefing was given by the Battalion Commander about the key locations including all the Floating Border Outposts falling under the jurisdiction of 118 Battalion in Sundarbans area.
This visit of the ADG underlines the unwavering commitment of the BSF towards the security of the national borders, especially in challenging areas like the Sunderbans. Such proactive visits strengthen security preparedness, ensuring a robust defence mechanism against potential threats.
