DREE, a major festival of the Apatanis was celebrated with great pomp and gaiety at Dirang in West Kameng by the Dirang Apatani Welfare Association.
The colourful PRI dance, Daminda, Pakhu Itu dance and many repertoires of cultural programme were the Hallmark of the festival among many other events.
Akriti Sagar, Deputy Commissioner, hosts of Head of Department, officers, officers from SSB, Army, ITBP, GREF, public leaders and Monpa communities attended the festival with great enthusiasm.
Hage Tarung, Chief Patron and Dani Lampung, Chairman DAWA advised the DAWA members to remain united and active so that Apatani culture is showcased in every corner of Arunachal Pradesh and also in the length and breadth of the country.
