This victory marks India’s first wrestling medal at the Paris Games and continues the country’s streak of winning wrestling medals since the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Sehrawat’s performance included a dominant semifinal loss to Japan’s Rei Higuchi, leading him to compete for bronze.
