The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, led a vibrant bike rally organized by the BJP Yuva Morcha in Tinsukia today to celebrate the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. The event saw enthusiastic participation from hundreds of locals, youth volunteers, and members of various social organizations.
The rally, which covered a 9-kilometer route through key areas of the city including Chaliha Nagar, Tinikunia, AT Road, Bus Stand, and Chirwapatty Road, culminated at Chaliha Nagar. During the rally, Sonowal paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by offering floral tributes at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial near Khargeswar Market.
In his address, Sonowal emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices of freedom fighters and instilling the spirit of nationalism in the younger generation. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for initiating the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, which celebrates India’s freedom and independence.
The event was also attended by Assam’s Minister of Labour Welfare Department, Sanjay Kishan, BJP District President (Tinsukia) Kushakanta Borah, ATDC Vice Chairman Rituparna Baruah, BJP Assam Pradesh General Secretary Pulak Gohain, Dibrugarh Development Authority Chairman Ashim Hazarika, and Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha President Siddhartha Baruah, among others.
