The first phase of the Community Volunteers training program on basic disaster response kicked off today at the Kalaktang Sub-Division.
ADC Kalaktang M. Loyi attended as the Chief Guest in presence of EAC, Kalaktang Tsering choedon ,DDMO West Kameng Mindu Yangzom and the participants from the remote villages of Chingi, Dengzi, and Kalaktang area.
The three day training is being organised by DDMA , West Kameng District in collaboration with Fire Service team of Bomdila and Local Administration.
On the first day, items like jerseys, ID cards etc. has been handed over to the Community volunteers. Items contain solar lamps, first aid kits, and raincoats to be distributed on the final day of the program. It aims to impart basic training to the youths with their active participation in order to ensure their active participation in case of any Disaster happens in the Community level.
