Railway Minister Flagged off New Weekly Express Train service between Radhikapur and Anand Vihar Terminal

Minister of Railways, Information & Broadcasting and Electronics & Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw flagged off the new train service between Radhikapur and Anand Vihar Terminal today i.e. on 02nd October, 2024 virtually from Sealdah. Minister of States for Education and Development of North-Eastern Region Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, Shantanu Thakur, Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways; were present during the inaugural programme.

The inaugural train No. 04011 (Radhikapur – Anand Vihar Terminal) commenced its journey from Radhikapur station at 13:35 hours in presence of large gathering of public. MLAs and local people welcomed this new train service at various enroute stations and thanked Indian Railways for this new initiative to further strengthen the railway connectivity of this region with New Delhi.

During its regular service, the train No. 14011 (Radhikapur – Anand Vihar Terminal) Weekly Express will depart from Radhikapur on every Tuesday on 10:30 hours to reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 18:50 hours on next day. In return direction train no. 14012 (Anand Vihar Terminal – Radhikapur) Weekly Express will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal on every Sunday on 23:45 hours to reach Radhikapur at 07:00 hours on next day. This train will run via Kaliyaganj, Raiganj, Barsoi Jn., Katihar Jn., Barauni Jn., Samastipur Jn., Bapudham Motihari, Gorakhpur Jn., Gonda Jn., Moradabad Jn. & Ghaziabad Jn. in both directions.

The train will consist of One AC First Class, Six AC 3-Tier, Two AC 2-Tier, Eight Sleeper & Three Non AC Second Class coaches for the accommodation of passengers.

The introduction of this train will fulfil the long standing demand of passengers of Radhikapur and its adjacent areas and facilitate them to travel smoothly and help in boosting the economic activities in that area. People from a vast area of West Bengal and Bihar will get benefitted.
