Navy’s Motor bike expedition inspires youth in North Eastern States

The Indian Navy’s Motor Bike Expedition -NE Odessey, aimed at fostering maritime awareness, commenced its second leg from Guwahati on  October 23, 2024. A team of 23 passionate sea riders, including two women, continued on a route of exploration to engage and inspire young minds across the northeastern states.

During their journey, the riders had an impactful outreach at Bhelauguri Anchalik Government High School, Tezpur. They interacted with an enthusiastic group of students and teachers, sharing their real-life experiences and providing insights into the role of the Indian Navy in safeguarding the nation’s maritime frontiers. The students actively participated in a exciting exchange and, gained a deeper understanding of the Indian Navy’s contributions towards security and nation building.

On October 24, 2024, the sea riders were honoured to be received by the  Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lt Gen KT Parnaik (Retd) at Raj Bhawan, Itanagar. The Hon’ble Governor commended the team on their initiative to ignite young minds, encouraging a spirit of patriotism and spreading awareness about India’s maritime heritage among the youth of Arunachal Pradesh. The Governor lauded their dedicated efforts in bringing MaritimeAwareness to the hill state, inspiring a new generation of aspiring seafarers.

The ongoing ‘NE Odyssey’ Motor Bike Expedition bears testament to the Indian Navy’s commitment to promoting maritime consciousness and encouraging local youth to join the Indian Navy.
