Inspector General (IG), Frontier Headquarters South Bengal, Maninder P.S. Pawar, IPS joined the Border Security Force (BSF) jawans deployed along the Indo-Bangladesh border to celebrate the festival of Diwali. IG Pawar, accompanied by senior officers, visited Kalyani Border Outpost (BOP) of 5th Battalion where he greeted all the jawans on the festival and distributed sweets.
IG Pawar described Diwali as a celebration of the victory of Dharma over Adharma, good over evil, light over darkness and perseverance, courage and unity. He met each jawan with great affection and praised them for their unwavering commitment and sacrifice in the security of the nation. Instilling pride and enthusiasm in the jawans, IG Pawar said, “Your dedication and sacrifice ensures the development and security of the country and it gives me immense pleasure to share the joy of the festival with you on this auspicious day.”
IG Pawar met every jawan on duty in his area of ​​responsibility at Border Outposts Kalyani and Gunarmatha and distributed sweets and festive cheer. Later, he visited ICP Petrapole along with DIG of Regional Headquarters BSF Kolkata, where he expressed his best wishes and appreciation to the personnel deployed there.
Apart from this, Commandants and other officers of every battalion deployed in the entire South Bengal Frontier area joined the Diwali celebrations with their jawans on the Indo-Bangladesh border and distributed sweets to the jawans and boosted their morale.
