Acting on specific information on presence of adhoc bunkers at Loiching ridgeline, in Imphal West district, Assam Rifles launched an operation on 25 November 2024. The team discovered three adhoc bunkers existing on the heights overlooking the valley. These bunkers were likely being used as launch pad to carryout subversive activities. The Assam Rifles have been providing close protection to farmers of all communities carrying out harvesting of the paddy in the fields.
The prompt response by Assam Rifles not only neutralized the threat in the area and brought relief to residents reaffirming the dedication of Assam Rifles. Assam Rifles remains committed to maintain peace and security in Manipur.
