‘National Energy Conservation Day’ was observed by Northeast Frontier Railway with a week-long programme that had started on 08th December, 2024 and concluded today on 14th December, 2024.
The main objective behind organising the event was to make people aware of the importance of energy and the need of its conservation. A large number of officers and staff have participated in this Energy Conservation Week by taking active part in different activities throughout N. F. Railway. Counselling of staff on urgency of energy conservation has been made at various field units.
During the week, various programmes and activities related to energy conservation such as leaflet distribution, art & quiz competition, poster & banner display, Nukkad Natak, slogans were organised throughout N. F. Railway to create awareness amongst the staff as well as the common public about the importance of energy conservation.
Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, General Manager, Northeast Frontier Railway held a discussion with the officials and staffs of HQ emphasizing on Energy Conservation practices.
As part of the observance, a Nukkad Natak was organized near the premises of N. F. Railway Headquarters complex on 13th December, 2024 in presence of railway officials and public to create awareness on energy conservation amongst all.
During this week, public awareness walks with banner and slogans for prevention of wastage of energy were organised at different locations over N. F. Railway. Posters have been put up at railway premises having good visibility and leaflets containing energy conservation tips were also distributed among railway staff and public.
