Indian Skipper Surya Kumar is prepared to give a tough fight to England

Ahead of India -England T20 series Surya Kumar Yadav is looking forward to the five-match T20I series against England as a crucial preparation ground for the upcoming T20 World Cup in 2026.

The series begins at Eden Gardens in Kolkata today, with subsequent matches in other places of India.

He emphasized enjoying the journey of team preparation, stating, “Sare secret bata du kya idhar hi (Should I reveal all secrets here). I want to enjoy the journey. We have to prepare the team, decide the position and play most games as a group.”

Yadav highlighted the collaborative leadership approach, noting that Hardik Pandya remains a key part of the leadership group. “We have a lot of captains on the ground,” he remarked, emphasizing the team’s collective decision-making process.

Suryakumar Yadav recalls his time at Eden Gardens ahead of England T20I series. “Beautiful memory”. It’s a vintage-type feeling. It feels good when you come here. It feels good to think about it. When I sit in the room and think that when I used to play matches here in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, it was also a beautiful memory,” Suryakumar Yadav said in a video posted by BCCI on X.

Following the Eden Gardens clash, the teams will travel to Chennai for the second T20I on January 25, with the five-match series concluding in Mumbai on February 2. The ODIs will follow in Nagpur (February 6), Cuttack (February 9), and Ahmedabad (February 12).
