ASSAM RIFLES AVERTS DISASTER IN SWIFT RESPONSE
In a remarkable display of bravery and prompt action, the Assam Rifles successfully contained a fire incident at three abandoned houses near the Mantripukhri Garrison, averting a potential disaster.
The fire was first detected by a vigilant sentry at approximately 1725 hours. Upon noticing the flames, the sentry quickly alerted the Assam Rifles authorities, prompting an immediate and coordinated response. Within 10 minutes, the Quick Response Team (QRT) of the Assam Rifles stationed within the garrison arrived on scene and secured the area.
Thanks to their rapid response and effective firefighting techniques, the team managed to control the blaze before it could spread to adjacent sheds and houses. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and significant property damage was prevented.
By 1750 hours, local police from Heingang and personnel from the Manipur Fire Brigade had also arrived to assist in bringing the fire under control. The collaborative efforts of the Assam Rifles and local authorities stabilised the situation, ensuring no further damage or loss of property occurred.

Assam Rifles organized a vibrant Cultural Choreography Program at Tengnoupal District.
The event was graced by enthusiastic participation from students and teachers of Government High School, Tengnoupal, and Sita Government High School.
A total of 34 students and five teachers actively took part in the program, showcasing their creativity and talent through captivating performances.

ASSAM RIFLES APPREHENDED A CADRE OF KANGLEIPAK COMMUNIST PARTY (TAIBANGANBA) IN MANIPUR
Acting on specific intelligence of presence of cadres who are allegedly involved in extortion and other illegal activities, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police launched a search operation in general area Waithou in Thioubal district Manipur on 26 January 2025 and apprehended a cadre with six rounds of ammunition. On initial, questioning the cadre confessed his affiliation to KCP (T). The apprehended cadre along with the recovered items have been handed over to Manipur Police.
