On February 6 2025, Assam Rifles recovered a significant quantity of drugs and apprehended an individual at Permanent vehicle Check Post (PVCP) No. 1 Gate, Moreh, Tengnoupal District.
A suspicious vehicle coming from Moreh was stopped for inspection. During the search, images of drugs were found on the driver’s phone. Upon a detailed inspection of the vehicle, a strong-smelling substance was discovered in a wrapped packet.
Moreh Police and SDO Moreh were informed, and upon their arrival, the packet was opened, revealing seven packets of suspected WY tablets concealed in the rear of the vehicle. The drugs, along with the vehicle, were seized, and the owner, Mr. Zamkholun Baite, was apprehended.
The recovered drugs and the accused have been handed over to Moreh Police.
