ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTS CAREER GUIDANCE SESSION

Assam Rifles organised a career guidance lecture at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Chandel District on 28 March 2025. The session focussed on “How to Join Armed Forces as an Officer and Entry in Army Medical Corps”. This initiative provided valuable insights to around 250 students including teachers, aspiring to serve in the armed forces and providing guidance to pursue a career in the Army Medical Corps. The officers shared their experience and expertise, guiding students on the selection process, training requirements, and career growth opportunities within the armed forces.

This career guidance session was appreciated by all students and teachers of the school for being highly informative and beneficial for those considering a career in the Indian Armed Forces.
The event underscores the commitment of Assam Rifles to motivate and empower young minds, fostering a sense of patriotism and dedication among future leaders.

ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTS MEDICAL AND DENTAL CAMPS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN MANIPUR

Assam Rifles conducted medical and dental camps over the past week, at various locations in Manipur. The initiative aimed to promote health and well-being among internally displaced persons and nearby villagers while strengthening ties with the local community. The camp offered crucial medical assistance to individuals suffering from ailments such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, abdominal pain, upper respiratory tract infections (URTI) and fever. Essential medications were also distributed and bedridden patients received essential medical equipment, including lumbar belts, knee caps and rehabilitation materials. The medical camp witnessed an overwhelming response from the villagers.

At Dorcas Veng Village, Churachandpur District, Manipur, medical check-ups and medications were facilitated by health experts from Assam Rifles, including a dentist, along with paramedical staff. Volunteers from the Village Authority Dorcas Veng and the local youth also provided crucial paramedical and logistical support, ensuring the camp’s success. A total of 672 residents, including 139 males, 248 females and 285 children, benefitted from this initiative, with 96 patients receiving specialized dental care.

At Kwatha Village, Tengnoupal District in collaboration with health professionals from the National Legal Service Authority, the medical team of Assam Rifles provided free medical counseling and treatment to the local population, addressing common health issues and raising awareness about general well-being. A total of 64 villagers, including 27 males, 32 females, and 5 children, benefited from the camp.

Similarly, a medical camp at village Singngat in Churachandpur District of Manipur was organised by Assam Rifles in coordination with medical professionals from CHC Singngat. The camp prioritized senior citizens, pregnant and lactating women, and children, ensuring they received necessary medical attention. A total of 160 people including 90 males and 70 females and children received medical assistance.

The villagers at all places expressed their profound gratitude to Assam Rifles for facilitating access to professional medical care and essential equipment. Such initiatives reinforce the importance of community engagement and the role of Assam Rifles in promoting public health and awareness.
