ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISES TWIN EVENTS

Assam Rifles organised “A Day with Company Commander” along with a medical camp at Kwatha village, Tengnoupal District on 02 May 2025.

The day brought smiles and spirit to the community, starting with a series of friendly competitions such as football, volleyball, a drawing contest and fun filled games. Around 25 students took part with zeal.

The event also focused on community health. The medical camp, staffed by a committed medical team of Assam Rifles, provided check-ups, advice and essential medicines. A total of 76 villagers (24 men, 37 women and 15 children) received care for various common health issues.

This initiative reflects Assam Rifles’ ongoing commitment to building strong bonds with local communities, through not just security, but support, care, and shared experiences.

ASSAM RIFLES INAUGURATES OPD SERVICES FOR EX-SERVICEMEN

Assam Rifles inaugurated a dedicated Outpatient Department (OPD) service for ex-servicemen in Modi, Chandel district on 02 May 2025.

This initiative aims to provide regular medical care to retired service personnel in this remote region of Manipur Addressing a long-standing healthcare need, the inaugural ceremony witnessed a participation of 35–40 veterans, members of the Ex-Servicemen Welfare Association and local community leaders.

The Chief Medical Officer announced that OPD services will be available twice a week, ensuring sustained support for the veteran community. The event reinforced the spirit of camaraderie and mutual respect.

The Ex-Servicemen Welfare Association, Chandel, conveyed sincere gratitude to Assam Rifles for their ongoing commitment to the welfare of former soldiers.
