Sikkim Witnesses Remarkable Surge in CBSE Results: CM Lauds Students and Educators

Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang extended his heartiest congratulations to the students of the state for their exceptional performance in the 2025 CBSE Board Examinations.

Expressing immense pride, the Chief Minister noted the notable improvement in academic performance across both government and private schools. According to official data, the Class 10 CBSE pass percentage rose sharply from 66.87% in 2024 to 79.97% in 2025. Likewise, Class 12 results saw an increase from 87.49% last year to 89.41% in 2025, reflecting consistent progress at the senior secondary level.

“These results are not just numbers,” the Chief Minister stated, “they reflect the dedication of our students, the commitment of our educators, and the transformative impact of the government’s educational initiatives”, he added.

He particularly credited the government’s statewide Mentorship Programme, which has been implemented across all 32 constituencies, for playing a pivotal role in empowering students and improving outcomes. The initiative is part of a broader vision aimed at building an inclusive and quality-driven educational environment.

Calling it the beginning of an education revolution in Sikkim, the Chief Minister highlighted the state’s commitment to nurturing talent and ensuring that every child, irrespective of their background, receives the opportunity to succeed.

“Once again, congratulations to all the students and their families. You make Sikkim proud”, he shared.
