“New political journey”: Ripun Bora quits Congress, joins Trinamool today

Former President of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), Ripun Bora has quit the party and joined All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) today. Bora is a senior politician from Northeast.

“Today, Shri Ripun Bora joined our All India Trinamool Congress family.” He comes with a broad range of experience in serving people as the former Minister of Panchayat & Rural Devt, former Minister of Education, former Rajya Sabha MP and former President of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee!”, reads a tweet by AITC Assam today evening.

He joined the party in presence of National General Secretary, Abhishek Banerjee.” Extending a very warm welcome to Shri Ripun Bora, a stalwart and skilled politician, who joined the All India Trinamool Congress family today.”, reads a tweet by Banerjee today evening.

He adds, “We are extremely pleased to have you onboard and look forward to working together for the well-being of our people!” Attached pictures show Bora’s wife and son also joining Trinamool today.
