Concerted efforts of Khonsa Battalion of HQ IGAR (North) under Spear Corps to convince insurgent cadres to rejoin the mainstream have resulted in surrender of one active cadre of ENNG at Khonsa town, Tirap District, Arunachal Pradesh on 11 July 2022.
The cadre surrendered with one point 32 pistol with magazine and one live round of point 32. Cadre with recoveries handed over to Khonsa police station.
Surrender of the cadre will further motivate other cadres of the region to re-join the mainstream. The cadre has revealed that he led a difficult life while being underground and made an appeal to his comrades to shun violence. Surrender of the active cadre epitomises the humane face of the security forces, while working to maintain peace in the region.
