On Tuesday, Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi blame on Narendra Modi Government and said “the country was made in 70 years, the Modi government has decided to sell it.”
Rahul also said to media persons“We are not against privatisation, but our privatisation plan had a logic”. We didn’t privatize strategic industries.
Rahul also said Congress considers Railways as a strategic industry because it transports lakhs and crores of people and also employs lots of people.
On Monday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had unveiled the National Monetisation Pipeline (NMP), worth Rs 6 lakh crore, that included unlocking value by involving private companies across infrastructure sectors — from passenger trains and railway stations to airports, roads, and stadiums.
Congress leader Shashi Tharoor tweeted,” At least now, BJP should acknowledge that national assets were created since independence by successive @incIndia govts so that today’s BJP goverment can sell them to overcome the financial mess created in last 7 years of their misgovernance!”
