An exciting friendly football match took place today between the troops of the 153 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier (BSF) and P J Nagar Football Club. The match, which attracted approximately 100 spectators from nearby villages, was inaugurated by the Commanding Officer of the 153 Battalion and a prominent member of the village.
The match kicked off at 10:00 am, captivating the audience with its thrilling gameplay. Both teams displayed remarkable skill and determination throughout the game. Ultimately, the BSF team emerged as the victors, securing a notable 8-3 victory over the P J Nagar Football Club.
In recognition of their outstanding performance, the Commanding Officer of the 153 Battalion presented prizes to the players of the winning team, highlighting their commendable achievements on the field.
Expressing his appreciation for the participants, the Commanding Officer of 153 BN BSF emphasized the importance of sports in our physical and mental development. He underscored the benefits of engaging in sports, such as improving physical fitness, enhancing cardiovascular and respiratory abilities, and promoting clear and continuous cognitive function.
