In response to the input received about a Meitei individual in Kuki dominated area, Indian Army liaised with relevant stakeholders to convince local Kuki Chiefs and evacuate the individual. Leichombam Langam, 61 years old S/O late Leichombam Bira Singh of Leimaram was successfully evacuvated from Tingkai Khullen on 16th November 2023.
The evacuvation was conducted swiftly in coordination with OC, Nambol PS. The endeavour remains to work in synergy with Police and neighbouring central security forces to establish a strong safety grid with no further loss of life and property amidst the ongoing ethnic conflict.
