In a demonstration of unwavering commitment to community welfare, Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) spearheaded a winter clothing distribution initiative at Shyamasakhi Relief Camp, Moirangkhom, Imphal West, Manipur on 9th December 2023. Wherein, winter clothing worth approx 35,000/- were distributed to the Internally Displaced People facing harsh winters. The winter clothing also included essential clothing for ladies which was requested by female inmates during the interactions with Rifle women on 8th December .
This initiative goes beyond the distribution of winter clothing; it symbolizes the Assam Rifles steadfast dedication to community well-being. It fosters a sense of unity, resilience, and shared responsibility, strengthening the bond between forces and the communities they serve.
The inmates extended their heartfelt gratitude to the Assam Rifles for their immense support during this challenging time.
