ASSAM RIFLES’ COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY WELL-BEING: A DAY OF HUMANITARIAN AID, RECOVERY, INTERACTION, AND MEDICAL CARE

In its unwavering dedication to serving the community, Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), orchestrated a series of impactful events on 06 January 2024. From extending humanitarian aid to the injured in Molcham, successfully recovering a toppled vehicle in Tengnoupal, fostering interactions with Ex-Servicemen in Bishnupur, to conducting a vital Medical Camp in Langza village, Churachandpur District, Assam Rifles demonstrated its multifaceted role and commitment to the well-being of the communities.

Assam Rifles provided emergency medical aid to nine injured civilians of Molcham, Chandel District on 6th January 2024:

Nine civilians, aged between 14-51 yrs, suffered injuries due to a vehicle accident near TM Dingpi Village while moving towards Molcham Village. The injured individuals were rescued from the incident site, brought to the MI Room at 1745H, and administered first aid, stitches, and necessary treatment by the Medical Officer and medical staff. Three individuals with critical injuries were forwarded to District Hospital, CC’Pur in a civilian vehicle, while the remaining were placed under observation in the medical ward.

Assam Rifles Recovers Toppled Vehicle:

Assam Rifles recovered a Tipper truck that toppled over after hitting a retaining wall at Tengnoupal district on 06 Jan 2024. The team swiftly rushed a recovery team to the incident location, promptly initiating a recovery operation. The timely response ensured the safe recovery of the Tipper truck, highlighting the multifaceted role of Assam Rifles in serving the community, ranging from rapid recovery operations to providing timely humanitarian assistance.

Assam Rifles Organised “Interaction with Ex-Servicemen of Bishnupur District” (Manipur) at Sendra on 5th January 2024:

Assam Rifles organized an “Interaction with Ex-Servicemen of Bishnupur district” followed by lunch at Sendra, Bishnupur District (Manipur) on 5th January 2024. The interaction aimed to discuss measures ensuring Ex-Servicemen access to their entitlements and understand the challenges they face. Socio-economic development projects were deliberated, with Ex-Servicemen pledging support for collective upliftment during challenging times.

Assam Rifles Conducted Medical Camp:

Assam Rifles conducted a “Medical Camp” at Langza village of Churachandpur District (Manipur) on 6th January 2024. The Medical Camp aimed to provide medical facilities to remote villages lacking access. The well-constituted medical staff under ARMO conducted the camp, treating patients affected by viral fever, cough, cold, and general ailments. Routine tests were conducted, and a total of 112 patients were diagnosed and treated, earning appreciation from the local populace for Assam Rifles’ initiative.
