International Women’s Day was observed in Metro Railway today. The objective of this programme was to highlight the steps taken by Metro Railway for empowerment of women. An interactive session was organised to mark the occasion.
In this session, the participants shared their thoughts about the empowerment of women and the challenges they face everyday.
Highlighting the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day , i.e. Invest in Women : Accelerate Progress, Ambika Jain, Principal Financial Advisor, Smt. Vinita Jain, Principal Chief Personnel Officer, Anjali Kesari, Dy. Chief Signal & Telecom Engineer/C, Ms. Aparna Ghosh, Dy. Secretary (Sports & Genl.) and other lady officers, staff of all departments shared their thoughts about empowerment of women.
A Cultural programme and a quiz competition were also held in which large number of lady employees participated. Gifts were distributed among all the participants. Around 125 lady officers, staff of Metro Railway participated in this programme.
