Assam Rifles troops detected the movement of 3-4 armed miscreants in the hills of T. Chiru and Khoken, heading towards Sangaithel in Imphal (West) District in the early hours on 15 March 2024. The troops engaged the miscreants and when fired upon responded in a calibrated manner due to which the miscreants ceased firing. Further, search operation and area domination in the area are also being conducted. Actions of Assam Rifles foiled the nefarious designs of the miscreants and effectively averted an escalation of the security situation in the area.
