BSF Meghalaya Foils Illegal Crossing Attempt, Apprehends Four Bangladeshi and One Indian National (Driver) Along with Maruti Alto

On January 28, 2025, acting on a specific tip-off, troops of BSF Meghalaya conducted a swift and successful operation based on intelligence inputs, thwarting an illegal border-crossing attempt.

 

 Alert troops of the 4th Battalion, during their vigilant search operation, noticed suspicious movements and immediately launched a search in East Khasi Hills along the Indo-Bangladesh border. As a result, they intercepted four Bangladeshi nationals and one Indian national (the driver), along with a Maruti Alto car at GRIEF morh.

 

 Upon apprehension, the four Bangladeshi individuals revealed that they had illegally entered India a few months ago. They further disclosed that they had been working as tailors in Bangalore and were attempting to return to Bangladesh through unauthorized means.

The apprehended Bangladeshi nationals have been identified as residents of Narayanganj, Bangladesh.

 

The seized items and apprehended individuals have been handed over to Pynursla Police Station for further investigation and legal proceedings.
