In order to encourage blood donation and Swachhta Abhiyan amongst youth, National Cadet Corps, (NCC) Tezpur University (TU) alongwith National Service Scheme (NSS), TU and Indian Red Cross Society, Sonitpur on Saturday organized a Blood Donation Camp on the University campus.
The Blood donation camp is a part of social service activities before the visit of President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, who is visiting the University on February 26, 2022 to attend the XIX convocation. The camp was organized under the guidance of Tezpur Medical College & Hospital. Earlier, the volunteers also organized a Swachchta Abhiyaan campaign inside the campus.
71 donors, including donors from NCC, TU cadets and NSS, TU volunteers donated blood in the camp. Prof. V.K.Jain Vice Chancellor, TU and a host of other officials from the University were present on the occasion.
